What does the info tell us: "CASANOVA now are DEMON DRIVE". I had liked CASANOVA, good thing. I never liked DEMON DRIVE, bad thing. Which side is "Rock And Roll Star" on? Well, quite obviously the latter, as harsh as it sounds, but I think this album is deadly boring!
"The Other Side" is a quite good start, but after the KISS-cover "Sure Know Something" (also very good) it's going downhill - steeply. Exchangeable Melodic Rock without highlights or really interesting passages, at times with some influences that are not from the sub-genre of Melodic Rock, but which neither help.
Apart from the already mentioned first two tracks I can only recommend "You're My Home" and the Lee Aaron-duet "She's In Love With You" (another cover, this time Suzi Quatro), the rest is mediocre...
"Rock And Roll Star" isn't bad, no, well played, but it is missing quite some, no verve, nothing special. I can only again refer to DREAMTIDE, for me the sub-genre's highlight of 2001.
