DESPISED ICON was formed with the intention of creating music that is at once brutal and honest. Their style is a mixture of Death Metal, Hardcore and Grindcore. Preoccupied with the current state of the human condition, the band attempts to expose in its own way the vices of man. This group from Montreal features members that have also played with NEURAXIS, NECROTIC MUTATION, IN DYING DAYS, HEAVEN'S CRY, HIDDEN PRIDE and VOCIFERATION. D.I. recorded its first album "Consumed By Your Poison" in 2002 with one of its own guitarists Yannick St-Amand (NEURAXIS, MARTYR, UNQUINTESSENCE, etc.).
