Quite an improvement to the self-titled debut "Wolf" is the newest epos of the Swedish wolves. Of course the band won't win anything for their "originality", but who could imagine a fabulous mixture of MAIDEN, HAMMERFALL and PRIMAL FEAR should at least check this one out.
At least for me the eight self-comps make real fun! Wait, there are 9 tits, ehm, titles on the back. That's right, because the last song is a cover-version of MERCYFUL FATE's "A Dangerous Meeting". WOLF's version sounds good, but of course cannot reach the original. How could they dare! Hehe, no, serious, good one, no question. You could say that they are closely following the path of their debut, that all songs are oozing of energy and the MAIDEN-references are stronger than ever!
Sound-wise they also have added a wagonload, crystal-clear sound! Also not all of the songs are going up-tempo, but you'll also find some mid-paced tracks. For all that like Melodic Power Metal have to get this one.
Oh, the album is pretty tralala-free, only the singer could have a little more roughness in his voice!
