Band History - Pole* (Online Dec. 2003)

Pole*

POLE* have been founded in the middle of the Nineties and have their roots in the Hardcore underground. After the release of the mini-CD "80 Degrees" via Lifeforce Records, POLE* came out of the domestic scene and played bigger shows, among others with EARTH CRISIS, SNAPCASE, MADBALL, STRIFE, STRAIN.

Soon POLE* made themselves a good name in the Hardcore scene and stood for an own style and a very good life performance. The highlight of that time had been a European tour with GRADE (CAN) and some shows in Sweden with REFUSED, DAMNATION AD and BATTERY.

1998 the first full length CD "Sky Conquerors Are Falling From The Sun" was released via WeBite Records and more shows in Germany and Europe followed. Plagued by line up problems the band split at the end of 1999.

After a two year hiatus the hard core came back together and since mid 2002 worked on new material with a stable line up. In summer 2002 they recorded a 3 song CD for promotion and label search.

With Circulation Records POLE* found a competent and fair partner and in July 2003 released the long player "Untitled Symphony Of Self-Destruction". The sound is typical for POLE* but with added technicality and aggressiveness.

Currently the promotion of the long player is done through weekend shows and a tour. The next release is planned for summer/autumn 2004.
