Guernica - Senza Sudare
After I was already much impressed by their debut "Senza Censure", it follows now the second EP of this great band from the country of pasta and pizza and it wouldn't be GUERNICA, if they hadn't another surprise for us to offer. "Senza Sudare" almost hooks up seamlessly to the debut, but amazes not only with another feelingly and mostly melancholic Rock songs but also with five complete acoustic tracks.

But they didn't use already existing sogs and transform them into acoustic versions but they composed completely new tracks, which are again unique and highly professional. It's surely not a little risk to provoke all fans, they gained since "Senza Censure" throughout a classical arranged unplugged record but strictly spoken, one expects such unpredictable turns of a band like GUERNICA.

Even though these altogether five tracks of "Senza Sudare" may be a bit too "greasy" or too calm, the potential of these Italians seems to be unlimited. So there is also more than pleasant anticipation for future releases of the Italians and one can already now be on the rack for what innovative ideas they will provide in the future. Finally, there is just the well meant advice to check out this band as soon as possible and to listen to these wonderful songs, which must be described as unique. (Online January 31, 2004)
