Broken Hope - Swamped In Gore
When in a horror-flick the blood is spurting to the ceiling, limbs are dismembered, bones are bursting, skulls are crushed and the entrails are spilling freely, then the splatter-freak is getting a hard one. BROKEN HOPE are offering us the suiting soundtrack for such a bloody massacre!

The cover of the 1991 Grindcore-International-release already shows us what to expect. A drawn gore-cover with tons of blood and intestines leaves only one direction open: Death Metal high up on the sickness-scale. And that is the case, the band starts out most songs rather slow-paced before the blast-orgy sets in. Some quite complex passages are the icing on the bloody cake. The vocals come from the depths far below, so rather for friends of old CANNIBAL CORPSE and AUTOPSY.

The album has been re-released by Metal Blade and should be available everywhere! You can argue about the sick sound of BROKEN HOPE, but still this is a genre-classic! Get it while it's hot!
