Dies Irae - The Sin War
Poland has been dominating the Death Metal scene for about ten years now. Bands like VADER have paved the way for this hungry up and coming band looking to rip the scene apart. DIES IRAE features members from VADER and SCEPTIC. So, how does this measure up? Pretty fucking devastating!

"Comrade Of Death" is unique because in their breakdown of the song they toss in an odd electronic tribal beat that catches you off guard, but fear not. It only lasts for about 5 seconds before they get back into damaging their equipment. These youngsters have a future in this scene, not because they are playing what everyone else plays, but they have true talent.

They use spiral guitar work that can cause you dizziness and toss in melodic rhythms that are layered through out the disc without being annoying or taking away from their heaviness. The music is intricate at times, but never saturate their sound with too much complexity.

Those who have been disappointed by the last several releases by the likes of DEICIDE or such, should give these up and comers a shot. They will satisfy your thirst for unique Death Metal with a twist and will have you salivating for more. (Online November 10, 2002)
