Susperia - Unlimited

Wow, an incredible work of art is this third album of SUSPERIA. Thrash Metal at its best with razorsharp riffing, relentless drums and brutal shoutings. No Death Metal grunts anymore but first-class Chuck Billy like vocals. Also the music has less to do with the already known SUSPERIA. Every today’s TESTAMENT Fan should love such an able tribute.

Of course, they are no clones, but as reviewer, you always have to find some comparisons... I think, the Norwegian band around singer Athena, bass player Memnock, drummer Tjodalv (ex-DIMMU BORGIR) and the two guitar players Elvorn and Cyrus can live with this comparison. Their Thrash salvos can almost keep up with the level of “The Gathering”, the last studio album of TESTAMENT. Technically and in terms of musicianship, SUSPERIA doubtless belong to the first-class!

A must for Thrashers, definitively! (Online April 24, 2004)
