An album, which every MANOWAR fan (and not only them) should have, is “Fighting For The Earth”, for a long time the only album of US band WARRIOR. All the praises about this album, the wondrous things people told about this fabulous epos – I can only say: Anything you have ever heard about “Fighting For The Earth“ is the pure truth.

This is the prototype of a true Heavy Metal milestone. The songs are neither progressive nor simple, neither ultra brutal nor soft, neither super fast nor lame. Melodies? You betcha! But never drifting off into the laughable and always very direct. Guitar power? Hell yes! You won’t find any ego trips here, intelligent and song serving arrangements meet nicely dosed heaviness. And the singer… Very powerful, covering the whole spectrum from high screams to …well, not much to say anymore, Parramore McCarty has the perfect voice for our beloved music.

Basically every Metaller from the newly baptised MAJESTY fan to the battle hardened JUDAS PRIEST veteran should love this CD. The album was originally released in 1985 and saw a CD release in 1990. But the CD has been out of print for a long time. At Metal markets one could find some bootlegs of late, but any way you do it, get this album!!! (Online June 20, 2004)
