Van Halen - For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge

This album was as controversial as it gets for VAN HALEN as their tongue in cheek humour finally boiled over into the public. The name “For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge” created the opportunity for many people to raise their eyebrow in detest. For this I love the album.

Actually that’s not fair. “F.U.C.K.” is a great album that has a few notable songs on it that made it into the charts. ”Runaround” was the first single on the CD that showed a rejuvenated VAN HALEN that was full of playful antics and great music that we knew almost 13 years prior when they first hit the stage. After that “Right Now” was a great second helping and the video was as thought provoking as the song itself.

After that, songs like “Spanked”, “Poundcake” and “Man On A Mission” rounded out the 11 track CD with all the sounds that we have grown to love about VAN HALEN.

I have everything that VAN HALEN ever officially released and I was glad to have added this CD to the list. (Online June 28, 2004)
