KIMAERA was founded in summer 2000 by Guitarist/Vocalist JP. For a start, KIMAERA (which was known by the name CHIMERA back then) covered Heavy Metal bands such as METALLICA, JUDAS PRIEST, MEGADETH.

Later on, the band started making originals with a distinctive style which is a combination of their various and different influences. The style is a mixture of Symphonic/Atmospheric/Doom/Death Metal with violin interludes accompanied with the gothic/angelic vocals of Sabine, who joined the band in summer 2002.

The band recorded and released one single till now entitled “God’s Wrath” in March 2004 and they are working currently on releasing their demo entitled “Ebony Veiled” !
