Black Abyss - Angels Wear Black

If you need a mixture of HELLOWEEN, PRIMAL FEAR and SILENT FORCE, here you’ll get it. This is decent Power Metal without childish choruses from South Germany. Unfortunately, the production is a bit weak and leaves a bad impression behind. The music is right, only the sound... this causes, that killer songs like the title track or the excellent “Time” can’t convince completely.

There are also some predictable tracks, which is normally no problem for a debut release – but as said before: I was never more angry about such a powerless production than on here... no bite, no power and you should know, where to spent your money! (Online January 6, 2005)
