THE RED CHORD from Massachusetts angrily and brutal as hell present us a weird bastard out of Mathcore, Death & Grind. Technically very tight and well produced, they overrun the listener like a tank. You feel like you’re within a hail of bombs because they fire like insane. They also have some decent groove and a perfect timing.

This is harsh, strange material, indeed – nothing for softies. This is already displayed by the horrible cover, this guy on the front shows that the band isn’t a bunch of choirboys. The music itself is quite impressive and will also delight fans of more technical Death Metal. They use countless breaks and progressive elements! The guitar work is really outstanding, often weird and very detailed! The same goes for the inhuman drumming. The vocalist is a grunter, who would even impress a grizzly.

However, personally I need something normal after this rather “straining” work, something in a leisure tempo and not with every second a new riff offered or a tempo change… But this is a feast for fans of “sicknesses” like THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, FANTOMAS or CEPHALIC CARNAGE!
