A Welsh Death Metal band, now there's something you don't see everyday. Despite hailing from Wales, a land generally ignored in metal terms, DESECRATION have released this, their fourth album after much controversy over their debut release being banned in Europe. "Pathway To Devience" really impressed me. Now you don't have to travel to Sweden, Florida or even Poland for good straight up brutal as fuck Death Metal. Right here in the UK in that part known as Wales DESECRATION have released in "Pathway To Devience" a pretty damn good album.
One noticeable thing in this album is the samples which, unlike most, actually sound so real and add that element of horror that makes this slab of Gore Metal that little more convincing and noteworthy. And of course it adds to the comical aspect of Gore Metal. The production is generally good with no major complaints and the instruments are all well played.
The only real complaint I have about this album is its short running time of only half an hour. (Online November 30, 2005)
