Void Generator - s/t

’s VOID GENERATOR have given us some nice and varied Rock and Roll in the form of this self-produced EP. The music has a solid Stoner foundation, with opener “Sideral Connection” rocking away with thick riffs, heavy bass and some killer grooves. From there, the sound opens up and we see many other sides of the band, ranging from jangly Pop to Psychedelia to flat out Post-Rock. Quite a varied mix for such a short EP!

Fans of any of the above-mentioned genres should find something quite tasty here, as should fans of Alternative Rock in general – in fact, the mammoth “Suite #2” givbuenoses off a huge SMASHING PUMPKINS vibe. The band is still sounds a bit green around the ears, but given the strength of the fuzzed-out riffs and the lack of lamery in their various dabblings into Psychedelia, VOID GENERATOR shows much promise for the future.
