Hey, thatís what I call Melodic Death Metal that is fun. AMORAL hail from Finland and present a true insider tip of the genre in their sophomore work. The contemporary production gives the whole thing a modern touch, but itís perfectly fitting, as the band is in between the old and the new Swedish school. So there is something to be discovered for fans of both styles.
Those who are into older SOILWORK, MESHUGGAH or DARKANE will probably freak out, though. AMORAL are very varied, from grooving to blasting, though they also like to fuddle a bit every now and then. Those who like it somewhat more technical, here you are. AMORAL are able to rather delight than annoy the listener. From time to time it sounds a bit hectic, but in return it shouldnít ever get boring. Blastbeats in groovy songs, psycho-like intricate breaks make your nerve costume shake, yet AMORAL always get to the point! Somewhat more catchiness next time and I believe that they are capable of producing a classic. (Online February 3, 2006)
