There’s something about Thrash Metal that can still be enjoyed, even though the band that is being listened to has borrowed every single element from its predecessors. Unlike, Death or Power Metal (especially the former), when I hear a band that has rehashed all ideas within their subgenre, I tend to get bored. Not with Thrash Metal.
By that small little tidbit, you should be able to guess what style of Metal SCENTERIA play. As implied before, their melodic brand of Thrash isn’t exactly something revolutionary or fresh, but it’s loads of fun to listen and headbang to. The little things, like very catchy riffing and the clear production, make “Art Of Aggression” an above average Thrash Metal affair. It’s not the best nor the most original thing I’ve heard, but it’s good.
If you like Thrash, you should check these guys out. (Online February 6, 2006)
