What happens when a pothead Death Metal vocalist, who has become the laughing-stock of a genre he helped to create, runs out of ideas for an album? The answer to that question can be found in the train wreck that is “Graveyard Classics II”. This is a cover album of the legendary AC/DC- “Back In Black” and sees Chris Barnes and the boys from SFU hit an all-time low. This album is one big steaming pile of dog shit that will have you cringing as each track unfolds. SIX FEET UNDER have single-handedly turned one of the greatest Rock albums of all time into a horrendous shit-fest that will leave every listener asking one question as they turn their stereo off in disgust- What the fuck were they thinking?
The guys working at Metal Blade are obviously a bunch of pussies, because not one of them had the balls to tell SFU that they were making a terrible mistake. I can imagine them sitting around clucking to each other about how shit the album sounded then turning around to Chris and the rest of the band and giving them a round of a applause for creating such a wonderful album.
As to individual songs it would be almost impossible to pick one that I hated the most, because all of them will bring tears of hatred to the eyes of any fan of AC/DC, but I’m leaning slightly towards “Back In Black”. But then again I really hate “She Shook Me All Night Long” and I truly, truly despise their version of “Rock And Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution”, so I will settle with saying that from start to finish this is easily the worst album ever in the history of Metal and second worst in the history of music in general*.
Well done Chris Barnes you dipshit, with this album you have managed to downgrade SIX FEET UNDER from a terrible Death Metal act into a complete joke, while at the same time alienating and wasting the valuable money of all your fans. I hope you contract herpes.
*In case you were wondering, #1 in that category goes to every single Bjork album ever made. (Online February 22, 2006)
