"The Infinite Lament Of The Wounds", a title that is program, as so often, because it most definitely does NOT sound like summer and beach, and song-titles like "Forever Sleep", "Whatever The Pain" and "With Blood Adorned" don't sound like stories of freshly fallen in love youths either - Gothic Metal is the law.
Musically the Finnish septet SILENTIUM ("Silence") uses the standard ingredients, like growly male voice, ultra-melancholic guitars and slow tempo, while a clear female voice (very original, I know, but still it fits) and a violin offer variation.
Overall a pleasant album that has its best moments in "Forever Sleep" and "At The Dawn I Wept", doesn't have a big drop in quality, but somehow lacks the certain something. But it's a debut and only time will tell, which direction will be the one to go for SILENTIUM...
