Secondhand Child - What Do You Live For

A great blend of Punk rock, Hardcore and Metal comes from SECONDHAND CHILD from Basel. Sounds pretty pissed but yet still melodic, groovy but yet not modern. So this CD spreads, at least with me, some good spirits. Bottle beheaded and unleash is the motto! And it is really surprising how few filler tracks are there to be found on the record.

As opposed to all those College-Wanna-Be-Punkrockers from the States, the Swiss can really convince. Apart from this, their songs have a high Pop-appeal but they still blast bolshy and fiercely from the speakers. There is space for calmer tunes as well and their class is beyond controversy. Somewhere among your SPERMBIRDS, SCREAMING MAGGOTS FROM HELL and TURBONEGRO CDs there is definitely must be some place left for "What Do You Live For“…
