Eight years after their incredible debut DEKAPITATOR are back with a new long player. Back then they still mostly worshipped Teutonic Thrash Metal, now they have found the American roots. But we still are talking about old school Metal, just to make sure.
By now the guys master their instruments a whole lot better and this also shows in several technical excursions. Or differently: the songs are more complex and have a lot more breaks. Who now thinks of "Pleasures Of The Flesh“ by EXODUS or generally DEATH ANGEL is correct. I don't want to nitpick here, but I personally liked the band a bit better, when they thrashed along without looking to the left or right, because it was great to hear a US band that played the German style better than most local colleagues. But the new album still has more than enough fast parts, just listen to the superb neckbreaker "Deathstrike Command“ or the brutal "Earthscorcher“, I love them!
Apart from that the band tries to put in a lot of variety, works with good tempo changes, harmony leads and excellent riff infernos and they still are as wild and fresh as anno 1999. So I can recommend this CD to any Bay Area fan, as singer Matt Hellfiend still sounds like Jeff Becerra (POSSESSED).
