"…Til Only The Sick Remain" is the new album of American LIVIDITY, released in 2002 through Morbid Records. This is their fourth album, after previously having released 2 studio albums and a live album.
LIVIDITY plays Porngrind, something that's fairly obvious from the songtitles. Personally I can live without these kind of lyrics and songtitles, and in this case also porn samples, like in "A Woman's Place Is On My Face", "Second Cumming (Pussy Lover Part II)" and "Conception Through Ingestion" (On a side note: "Fetal Scabs" has a fragment from the movie "Silence Of The Lambs" in it). The music itself is pretty good actually, Grindcore with plenty of variations in speed and good riffs. Especially opening track "T.L.C." is a great song music-wise. The drums, although good playing-wise, don't sound that good to me in production. Mostly the plastic sound of the bass drum is a little bit annoying to me. Then the vocals, I don't like the "fake" grunts, because first of all there is no indication there are actually lyrics (at least I can't really hear anything that sounds like words), and the grunts sound too forced to be deep, which really starts to get on my nerves as the album progresses.
For the music I can really recommened listening to LIVIDITY, but personally the drum production, type of vocals, and lyrical theme really turn me away from this release. If you don't have problems with these things then I suggest you check out "…Til Only The Sick Remain". (Online October 25, 2002)
