What we have here is an album produced by the great James Murphy. This U.D. Meath metal outfit are just sick when it comes to their playing. Hyperfast guitar riffs mixed with complex and rapid fire blast beats that could make CANNIBAL CORPSE look silly.
For the first six songs, you get nothing but pure fury and hatred which will make you go berserk. "Buried Alive" is interesting because it throws a monkey wrench into their formula. It's much slower than the beginning, but it still has double kick drumming and it sounds more Black Metal. The vocals sound more evil and clearer than the beginning. The overall sound is different for the band, but still works in keeping the mood unholy. Fear not though because they get back to their pure Death Metal selves very quickly.
While I am not generally into this music, I can appreciate the band keeping it real...REAL SICK! If you feel the urge to worship Satan and need something that will make your blood boil, you have found the right CD. (Online June 23, 2003)
