"Diving Into Darkness" is the band's third official release after the simply brilliant "Spellcraft"-debut (In fact "Spellcraft" had been the second one after "Midnight Solemnly Dance". - Alex). DARKSEED is a Gothic/Metal-band that is very much influenced by DEPECHE MODE.
The record shows the band solidifying their doomy, deathy, symphonic sound, but in a sort of mellow manner. Panoramic and for the first time twistedly warm, DARKSEED's atmospheric type of leaden Metal is a thought-provoking beauty to behold, still moody and mysterious, but so tastefully delivered and well-recorded, you almost forget the Metalness.
This stuff is very catchy, songs have a nice beat to them and the vocals are the semi-gruff type singing (like DARK AT DAWN). Sad, sad, vampire Metal, released for the fan I'm scared shitless to find. Not exactly my type of drug, but its very good all the same.
Behold the apocalypse, fellow headbangers and welcome DARKSEED into your lives for your final moments.
