’s Number 1 ranked Heavy Metal band has finally released a new CD. EDGUY has blown my mind for some time now with their sound. Finally after long last I have the new CD in my hand and it’s great. “Hellfire Club” was recorded with a live feel in mind. The boys of EDGUY wanted all of us who haven’t seen them live before to hear it on this CD.

“Hellfire Club” is a fun CD with tongue-in-cheek lyrics, anthemic chorus lines, huge guitar riffs and blistering solos. EDGUY have blended the old 80’s sound with the new guitar sounds of today.

“King Of Fools” (one of my favourites on the CD) has a great combination of thick guitar riffs and cool ambient sounding keyboard sections to give it an interesting feel. The single on the CD “Lavatory Love Machine” has also had a video released in support for it outlines the big hair-band 80’s feel that made music fun and crazy.

Tobias Sammet’s vocals are completely over the top and strong. With the combination of the great harmonies the rest of the band shares with him it is completely no wonder why they are deemed Germany’s No 1 Metal band.

“Hellfire Club” is a great CD full of catchy songs that have stayed true to the EDGUY sound. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed. This is a great party CD. (Online July 30, 2004)
