Hard to believe, but it’s already nine years ago since the last SADUS album. But the waiting will be rewarded! SADUS start where “Elements Of Anger” ended and it sounds fresh. It’s quite a pleasure to listen to their new songs.
Their complicated Thrash Metal is as well unique as individual. Their musicianship is phenomenal but that’s no big wonder regarding the involved musicians. Bass player Steve DiGiorgio was involved in countless other bands/projects in recent time and probably, that’s financially better for him than his merits with his actual band SADUS. This music is too weird, too technical and too extreme for a mainstream audience. Just take the insane, crazy vocals; they are surely too much for the average Metal fan. But this is also part of the charm of this killer album. The opening track is a pure Thrash smasher while “No More” is already very experimental with its spacey keyboards.
The songs aren’t that catchy but with spending some time, they’ll get more and more accessible. Other brilliant songs are the harsh title track and the closing “Crazy” with Chuck Billy (TESTAMENT) as guest grunter. A very impressing work! (Online March 26, 2006)
