Awesome melodic Death metal from Australia. The Frail Tide is one of my favorites this year.

Seconded, Wisdom & Arrogance is a work of art, and they're recently added Neige (Alcest, Peste Noire, Amesoeurs) as a vocalist.

I dunno if it's mentioned before, but this band Revocation kicks some major ass. They are unsigned but surely gonna get a deal soon. Perfect blend of technical death and thrash metal.

Deliver Us From Evil - Thrash/Heavy Metal. Easily my favorite underground band. Take one listen to just the intro to Casualty and try to resist headbanging to it. I dare you.

Also check out Diabotic. Insanely good.

Excellent thrash/melodic death/power metal crossover band, I don't know how else to describe them, haha. Put on a wicked live show, immediately bought their album after seeing them, which I hope to do a review of :) Great stuff.

Cormorant. Awesome new (relatively speaking) US band that's still unisgned for some inexplicable reason. Their debut ("Metazoa") cracked my year end top 20.

Highly recommended for all those who fancy an eclectic mix of Insomnium, Agalloch, and Amorphis.

Sounds rather jolly, might pop to one of the Angel gigs.

Anybody heard of BARBATOS from Japan... I'm sure some of you have, but I just found out about em' on the Hells headbangers site... All out Lo-fi thrashy blackened Death and Roll with the shittiest crazy funny lyrics that could only come from Japan... Seriously rocks though... Awesome!

Hey, I know it's been since August 15th, 2008 when I last posted, but I figured I'd post a new one. There is a good band, maybe not underground per say, but their albums haven't been reviewed on this site. It features vocalists like Sean Peck and Carlos Zuma; also many other great vocalists are feautred on the album as well.

The Band is Empires of Eden. I'll link you to their myspace page to sample some tracks. My favourite is Total Devastation with Sean Peck, it's incredible!

Enjoy guys, it's really great stuff, in my opinion at least. I'll probably post again sometime. I'd like to see what your guys review is on the album, I really enjoy it. Alex is the expert on Power metal and the like, so I'm curious to see what his opinion is. :D
