I was really skeptical when listening to this King of Asgard tune. Initially, some time ago. Gave it a chance once more the past week and it made a considerably different, better impression on me. Yet there have been songs far more engaging for me this year than the one from the Swedes:
Kvelertak - "Ulvetid", "Mjød"
Helheim - "Dualitet Og Ulver"
Alcest - "Sur L'Océan Couleur de Fer"
Enslaved - "Ethica Odini", "Lightening"
Lady Gaga - "Alejandro"
Fortíð - "Austursins Heimsenda Her", "Heltekinn"
Burzum - "Glemselens Elv", "Kaimadalthas Nedstigning"
I have not yet listened to the upcoming Agalloch's piece, yet I am pretty sure it will give me more than enough reason to put each of its tracks on this list : )
