I finally got this cd in the mail on tuesday and was very happy.

I don't think this band is very well known but you really owe it to yourself to check them out.

This band plays a good mix of metal and hardcore. I guess I could compare them to Burst in a way, though not where Burst went with their latest, more like Origio. The Blinding Light are a bit more agressive than Burst though. They have that barely restrained feel to them when they are agressive, kind of like Converge does (though not as abrassive). The review here on tMO of their previous cd does a good job at describing them.

If you get a chance, check out their latest release. It's very solid. One of my favorites of the year so far.

Really, you owe it to yourself to pick up all three of their releases, all of them are good.

Wow...somebody else knows of The Blinding Light? That's really random. I'm from the area they are from and I've seen them live a shit ton of times and they are very good. It's interesting to see someone from Maryland knows of them :D

Yeah, I discovered them earlier this year. I was trying to fill out an order I made with Deathwish and just started reading through the descriptions of every cd they had and ended up buying The Blinding Light's EP and first full length based purely on the descriptions (which has backfired on me before, but also pleasantly suprised me many times too). I listened to them sooo much. Then I read that Junebug was coming out and was psyched :)

They have an awesome energy. I hope they come near the MD/VA area some day.

I talk to a few of the guys in the band, and I will let them know that if they had a chance, they should go to Maryland for a show or two :D
