I thought that cd kicked ass.

I picked up Tool's Aenima yesterday, haven't gotten a chance to listen to it yet though.

Yes, THE Scald - Will of the Gods is Great Power.

Envy me.

Yes, I now have it in front of me. Fucking insane. Epic Viking Doom Metal (or whatever you want to call it) doesn't get more epic, viking, doom and metal than this. Insane I tell you! And the vocalist... god. He's like some sort of insane, inhuman, mix between Messiah Marcolin, Robert Lowe and Deathmaster. And he somehow manages to sound better than all of them. Too bad he died in '97, because I'm guessing this is the only album he, and Scald, has done.

Of course the production isn't that great, but when the music is this good, it doesn't matter, just like Wesley said in his review. (Where the hell is he anyway? I want him back :()

So, envy me.

Actually, I´m not the one to ask about ancient Candlemass (plan to check it out sooner or later though), but I really dug the self titled album from 2005. K.O.T.G.I. sorta carries that spirit further, Sabbath riffage, very very and catchy and I daresay Rob Lowe is better than Messiah, definitely!

Also ordered:

Porcupine Tree - In Absentia
Porcupine Tree - Deadwing

Brilliant band IMO
