I made the mistake of revisiting the Mabool album just before I bought a copy of their new one, and to be honest my first listen to Never Ending Way was quite a letdown...

But this album is truly a slow grower. Four listens in and I'm beginning to really dig what the band did here! A smart, well-paced and densely layered album of Middle-Easten flavored Prog/Folk.

Any opinions on the new disc?

My copy is on my way to me, so soon I will have an opinion about it.

I am working on the review for it now, and I agree that it was probably a mistake to listen to Mabool immediately before. I wouldn't classify this as strictly a 'slow grower,' since it was obvious to me on first listen that this is a great album, but I do agree that it reveals a little more of itself with each listen.
