| State of TMO Address 2013 | 2012 is done and it was a tumultuous year for "The Metal Observer", after some dry spells we re-organized ourselves and have emerged stronger than ever, together with a bunch of highly talented new writers. Most importantly, though, the redesign for TMO 3.0 finally, finally, FINALLY started! Given the size of our database it is a big effort, especially since we want to make sure to make the new site as interactive as possible for you, our readers, to be able to participate, opinionate and become more of a part of our TMO community. We're streamlining the menu, but at the same time expand with great new series and some other cool stuff. Oh, and the griffin also is getting a renovation that we are really excited about.
But with all the changes, one thing you can be sure will stay the same - our unbiased reviews and that we will not have a Melodic Rock fan review Grindcore or the other way around. We know that we are fighting a losing battle in the war against the sheer mountain range of promos out there (we average around 150-250 promos per month!), but we try our very best to cover as much ground as possible. If you feel and think that you can aid us in this battle by reviewing and also interviewing, we'd love to read from you, since our Brotherhood is still open for talented and dedicated writers.
So 2013 will see the new "The Metal Observer" arise in January or latest February and we are very, very excited to unleash the new design and the new content at you. We are also looking forward to involving you and hope you will join our community and discuss albums, bands, cover art and more around the world of Heavy Metal. Thank you for reading last year and let's work together to make 2013 one hell of a year in Metal!
